Alfred Alexander Taylor family papers, 1815-1962 (bulk 1886-1950).

The papers contain advertisements, correspondence, copies of campaign memorabilia, family photographs, newsclippings, speeches, and published tributes relating to Alfred A. Taylor's political career and family life. The papers date from 1815 to 1962 with the bulk between 1886 and 1950. Most were created in the execution of Taylor's political responsibilities. Three scrapbooks cover his 1921-23 term as governor of Tennessee. The collection also includes some material concerning his wife, Jennie Anderson Taylor, and son Benjamin H. Taylor.
